The Vice President will serve as our primary thought leader to senior and executive-level Marketing clients, while partnering with Gartner L2’s European Advisory and Research team to create compelling deliverables. The ideal candidate would have deep expertise in digital marketing with broad industry experience serving clients across B2C brands. The Vice President has responsibilities in three main areas: Client Interactions Lead client meetings acting as the main thought partner and senior voice; deliver client-specific presentations at strategy sessions with senior audiences including CEOs, Board members, CMOs, SVPs of Marketing, Chief Digital Officers, etc. Drive successful member relationships with our most senior marketing leaders at our most progressive organizations (CMOs, SVPs of Marketing, Chief Digital Officers, etc.) Present at Gartner events; and establish themselves as recognized thought leaders in the industry. Thought Leadership and Research Be the voice of Tier One CMOs back to the Advisory and Research teams – represent the top challenges and priorities of our leading CMOs to ensure our research agendas, studies, and deliverables stay focused on the right issues. Partner with the Research team on ~6 thought leadership pieces across the year providing a compelling story-line around top B2C Marketing challenges and priorities. Coach Advisory and Research teams to create high quality, distinctive, and actionable intellectual property, and relevant and impactful client deliverables. Business Strategy and Commercial Growth Support Account Management teams to renew and scale client relationships. Support New Business Development efforts as “go-to” resource for Proof of Concept prospect interactions. Partner with Gartner for Marketers Business Development, Account Management, and Product Management teams to build and execute commercial growth plans. Work as a member of the Gartner Marketing Practice Senior Leadership team to influence product offering, define new products, and evolve research methodologies. Requirements Bachelors degree or equivalent Proven track record as a thought leader in the Marketing space. 15 years of experience in client-facing consulting, client services, research, or agency work. MUST HAVE domain expertise in digital marketing, including across e-commerce, digital advertising, social media, and mobile marketing. Several years servicing Marketing clients in B2C industries. Strong intellectual power to direct the research and influence methodology. Strong analytical skills to distill data to actionable insights in a coherent narrative. Commanding presentation and communication skills for client specific meetings, Gartner events, and external industry events. Excellent writing and communication skills (including PowerPoint) with attention to detail. Experience connecting with and presenting to C-Suite Executives including Board members and high-level Advisory staff.
