Corporate Events Manager Location - This role is office based in Egham/ Staines-upon-Thames TW20 9AW Role Purpose: To deliver world class and globally consistent event experiences for Gartner associates. Justification Primary Responsibilities · Responsibility for delivery of Corporate Events and specials projects as required · Responsibility for developing and delivering a first class Winners Circle/Club 300 attendee experience · Responsibility for the management of the Winners Circle/Club 300 global food and beverage budgets · Specific responsibility for the EMEA, APAC and Club 300 food and beverage experience including but not limited to all Group Events, Breakfasts, Crew Catering · Specific responsibility for the management of Team Receptions/Dinners, Top Achiever Lunch, Crew Welcome, Crew Farewell · Management of external suppliers/freelancers · Build effective relationships with wide range of external partners ensuring clear comprehension of Gartner priorities · Communicate and collaborate effectively across the pre-event and onsite teams · Effective project management including ownership and adherence to timelines and templates and accurately track and evaluate results on overall project goals · Effective Financial Management through appropriate allocation of expense, negotiation of costs and accurate forecasting. · Solution orientated, creative approach to complex and time sensitive challenges · Continuous improvement through effective feedback collection and evaluation Expected Results · Exceptional attendee experience with high satisfaction scores · Flawless execution · Effective budget management and achievement of financial objectives · Engagement and effective management of all partners · Exceptional operational efficiency · Strong, motivated, high achieving team Revenue or Operating Budget Responsibility: Expense management for $10 Million across the Corporate Events Portfolio Geo. Responsibility : Global - travel required Key Contacts Internal Contacts · Sales GVPs, Operating Committee Assistants, Finance External Contacts · Venues contacts, Third Party Agencies, Registration team Professional Experience · Bachelor’s degree Professional Experience · 5 Years Event Operations Experience · Proven Budget Management Abilities · Proven Project Management Experience · Contract Negotiation and Supplier Management Key Competencies/ Knowledge, Skills & Abilities · Strong Leadership Skills, ability to communicate, collaborate and motivate · Strong Organizational Skills, competent Project Manager · Client focused/ Customer Service Skills · High sense of urgency, ability to work at a fast pace and be decisive · Solution oriented · Strong Financial Management Skills · Strong Oral & Written Communication Skills · Fully competent in Microsoft office, especially Excel & PowerPoint Job Requisition ID:33917
