Job Description: Executive Programs is a Gartner product that delivers year-round Gartner support and services to CIOs and Senior IT Leaders. This role supports events as it pertains to the Executive Programs product and its clients. Due to popularity, growth and excess demand for our EMEA Executive Programs events we require the services of a Sr Conference Manager. The Sr Conference Manager is a critical leadership position with tremendous visibility. It is responsible for leading our EMEA portfolio of Executive Programs events. Role Purpose: Lead the overall operations and client delivery of the EMEA and India Executive Program events within the worldwide Events Portfolio. Primary Responsibilities : • Be fully responsible for the successful execution and delivery of Executive Programs standalone events as well as experiences within events, in EMEA and India • Work closely with Global Director, Executive Programs Events, to ensure event environments are created that provide urban needs for our audiences to learn, network and navigate the event effectively pre event and on site. • Effective project management including ownership and adherence of timelines and templates and accurately track and evaluate results on overall project goals. • Actively participate in the process of designing or improving the event features and programs (member experience and journey, Lounges, VIP opportunities, special events and activities). • Partner with Program Directors to develop and deliver Executive Programs -sponsored programs within events including sessions, receptions and meals for target audiences (ie Women in IT, Front of the Boat, Business Executives, etc) • Work collaboratively with regional counterparts to prepare and submit execution plan for new ideas and implement approved ones. Work closely with Global Executive Programs Director and strategic operations leads on helping implement new initiatives for Symposiums, Leadership Forums and Summits. • Lead the EMEA and India team on selecting, evaluating and managing our event venues, selections, contract negotiations and global calendar. • Work closely with Program Directors to ensure event environments are created that provide needs for our audiences to learn, network and navigate the event effectively pre event and on site. • Be able to clearly understand and translate the needs of the audience to create on site experiences and programs. Constantly evaluate the experience, feedback and results and implement changes accordingly. • Drive and support strategy to increase member and prospect attendance across all events. Develop detailed action plans to achieve growth. Work with counterparts in events to prepare and solve for capacity restraints while driving increased attendance. • Lead, communicate, and collaborate across all internal as well as external partners. Inspiring confidence and translating our strategy to ensure seamless delivery of each event experience. • Support client growth and retention by partnering with internal communications channels to support clear and up to date communications to internal associates on event programs and deliverables as well as supporting external communications to clients. • Achieve budget goals, through monthly forecasting of revenue and expenses, alerting management about risks and deviations to plan, and make recommendations for corrective action. • Regular communication to stakeholders within Events and Executive Programs on ongoing program enhancements, project updates and challenges. • Manage and support the overall EMEA and India Executive Programs Event Team • Manage a team responsible for the day to day client support as it pertains to events including registration support, exception requests and escalations. • Manage a team responsible for all business unit reporting including weekly attendance reports and numbers reports on all active events. Expected Results: • Full understanding of Executive Programs product, including changes and business initiatives that may affect or be affected by event attendance • Successful translation of business' event strategy into an effective execution strategy • Application of best practices to create repeatable, high impact event processes • Flawless operational management and shared delivery of 11 events annually – while achieving high client satisfaction ratings • Effective team management – high engagement level from reports • Work effectively with Global Executive Programs team to ensure delivery of a globally consistent client experience • Achieve or exceed financial targets - superior management of budgets including preparation, negotiations, accurate and timely monthly forecasts for events • Exceptional communication and collaboration across events team, event partners and key stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of the processes and sharing ideas from Client events. #LI-POST Job Requirements: Professional experience/ Key competencies: 8+ years of event management experience End-to-end Event management and delivery to Senior level clients Strong Executive presence and ability to communicate clearly and effectively to business leaders Effective leadership skills – managing a direct team as well as indirect reports that support your initiatives Experience of working in a complex multi layered corporate environment with multiple stakeholders Excellent interpersonal skills - team player who works well with others, together reaching challenging goals under very tight deadlines Effective project management: organizational, project, team and time management skills Business-minded individual with the ability to understand client impact on all aspects of the event Client focused - superior customer service skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Strategic Thinker - Self-motivated, collaborative and solution oriented Passionate, Energetic & Enthusiastic Prior experience researching, negotiating contracts for meeting services and working with hotels and external vendors P&L Management and effective financial skills Willingness to travel #LI-POST
