The Events Marketing Manager is responsible for the formulation of marketing strategy and implementation of marketing activities to achieve event revenue goals for assigned events. Campaign Strategy: Responsible for formulation of marketing strategy and implementation of marketing activities to achieve event revenue goals for assigned events. Develop formal marketing plans outlining direct marketing and database strategies, including: budget, audience segmentation, messaging/positioning, channel and touch strategies. Develop lead generation strategy for assigned Summit events and work with Database Management to identify appropriate vendors and manage their use. Contribute to development and execution of the Search, Social Media and Web Content Strategy for assigned events. Campaign Management: Deliver marketing campaigns – on time, to budget, executing via the Event Communication Manager, to brief creative and copy, contributing throughout the process and providing final approval. Optimize campaign CPA and ROI and provide reporting and analysis. Internal sales communication & engagement Input into corporate marketing programs to maximize events exposure. Be the events marketing lead for the role portfolio(s) assigned. Perform mid-campaign and post event analysis and use to inform and improve current and always-on marketing plans Job Requirements: 3-5 years’ experience in Marketing, with direct experience in event promotion and/or business to business environment. Direct marketing Lead generation Marketing automation experience with Eloqua or similar Experience with fundamental principles of design Copywriting/editing Past experience producing content (blog, SlideShare, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) an advantage Business process analysis Understanding of the IT industry and key market forces Project and time management skills A dual-minded approach: You’re highly creative and an excellent writer but can also be process-driven, think
