The role One of SCM World’s key service offerings is global conferences and events. We own, manage and host a number of the world’s leading events for senior level supply chain professionals. These are held all over the world, from San Francisco to Hong Kong and many places in between. The events are totally unique – there are no exhibitors, no forced meetings with sponsors, the experience is totally focused on the needs of the C-level supply chain professional. Past speakers have included the CEO of Unilever and General Colin Powell. Due to the rapid expansion of the business and the events portfolio, we are looking to hire a delegate salesperson that would be part of the team focused on securing attendance of senior executives to our SCM World Live Event in Barcelona, before moving onto other events in our portfolio. The job involves contacting prospective attendees via telephone, and presenting the event as an opportunity for them to network, benchmark and learn from peers. Reporting to the Senior Director of Group Events, the role of the Delegate Salesperson is a key appointment on the sales team at SCM World. Job Requirements: Skills & Experience The successful candidate will be: Driven and self-motivated Articulate and influential, with an ability to speak confidently and clearly to senior executives Capable of developing product-knowledge related to the topic of the events you work on. The ideal candidate would have (desirable not essential): 12 Months of B2B telesales experience Experience selling to senior level executives at Fortune 500 companies Degree-level education at 2:1 level or better What we offer Incredible working environment at our brand new riverside offices in London Bridge Competitive basic salary, dependent on your experience.
