Due to current success, Gartner is in the process of expanding its high-performance EMEA and Public Sector Consulting team in Scotland. This team is responsible for supporting senior executives across the public sector strategize, design, procure, deploy and secure citizen centric services and enabling infrastructure to ensure economic growth whilst delivering value for money for public expenditure. Our ambition is to position Gartner Consulting services as the go to organisation for innovation as a service. We are uniquely positioned to undertake this work as a truly independent, research and data driven advisory organisation, that has access to best practice, technology maturity and adoption and vendor performance. Responsibilities of the role; As a successful consultant, you will work as part of a team to: Advise and make actionable recommendations regarding conceptual, logical or physical technology designs Advise and make actionable recommendations regarding Solution Architecture and High-Level Design Assist with product selection to implement designs Develop roadmaps for products, solutions, capabilities and obsolescence planning Advise on common practice/ leading edge practice Identify risks and mitigations Conduct impact assessment of proposed changes #LI-RH1 Job Requirements: Gartner is looking for individuals who have; Hands-on experience of designing or delivering technical solutions, especially high-level design and solutions architecture - essential Interest in and empathy for technology: how solutions deliver capabilities - essential Experience in low level design and/or coding - desirable Willingness and ability to deep dive into specific technology issues, but able to come back up and re-engage with stakeholders - essential Ability to wade through large quantities of documentation and to identify the key points and apply them in a business context - essential Public Sector experience and understanding - essential MBA or similar qualifications – desirable Recognised certificates or qualifications (eg Prince/ MSP, ITIL, Microsoft Certified Professional, Java) Security Clearance - desirable Willingness to travel #LI-RH1
